Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending December 1 were 488,000 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 10,800 pieces.

The most recent hide prices provide prices for five types of hide at six price points, with prices at $24.50 for heavy Texas steers weighing 74-78 pounds and at $19.50 for the same steer hides weighing 60-62 pounds. In cow hides, prices for hides weighing 50-52 pounds ranged from $7 for material from branded south-west cows to $12 for hides of the same weight form dairy south-west cows.
