Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending July 28 were 345,300 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 96,700 pieces.

The most recent steer hide prices provided prices for six types of hide, with prices ranging from $30 for branded steers weighing 62-64 pounds, $29 for heavy native heifers weighing 48-50 pounds, and $24 for heavy Texas steers at 64-66 pounds, down to $16 for south-west dairy cows at 50-52 pounds.
