Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending July 14 were 499,000 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 76,800 pieces.

The most recent steer hide prices provided prices for six types of hide, with prices ranging from $42 for heavy native steers weighing 60-62 pounds, and $34 for butt-branded steers of the same weight, to $24 for Colorado branded steers of 62-64 pounds, $21 for branded heifers weighing 48-50 pounds, $17.50 for dairy cows at 50-52 pounds and $16.50 for south-west dairy cows of the same weight.
