Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending May 19 were 416,900 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 110,400 pieces.

The most recent steer hide prices provided prices for ten types of hide, with prices showing $39 for heavy native steers weighing between 60 and 62 pounds, $30 for butt-branded steers at 62-62 pounds, $26.50 for heavy Texas steers weighing 60-62 pounds, all the way down to $8 for branded south-west cow hides weighing 50-52 pounds.
