Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending May 5 were 294,200 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 27,400 pieces.

The most recent steer hide prices provided prices for four types of hide, with prices showing $28 for butt-branded steers weighing at least 64 pounds, $21 for heavy Texas steers weighing 60-62 pounds, $19 for Colorado-branded steers of the same weight, and $18 for branded heifers weighing 48-50 pounds.
