Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending January 13 were 286,000 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 103,900 pieces.

The most recent steer hide prices provided prices for eight types of hides at eight price points, with prices ranging from $38 for heavy native steers weighing between 62 and 64 pounds, $28 for heavy Texas steers weighing between 74 and 76 pounds, and $12.50 for branded south-west cows weighing between 50 and 52 pounds.
