Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending January 21 were 321,900 pieces, while the figure for wet blue was 131,800 pieces. 

The most recent steer hide prices include levels of $38.50 for a butt-branded steer hide weighing a minimum of 66-68 pounds. For cow hides, prices ranged from $23.50 for dairy cow hides weighing 50 to 52 pounds, to $12.00 for branded cow hides in the south-west weighing between 50 and 52 pounds.
