Hides and Skins: Net sales of 531,800 pieces reported for delivery in 2010, up 39 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides sales of 532,400 pieces were mainly for China (244,100 pieces), South Korea (156,200 pieces), Taiwan (42,100 pieces), Hong Kong (29,800 pieces), Mexico (17,800 pieces) and Vietnam (15,900 pieces). Exports of 414,800 pieces were down 12 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides exports of 405,100 pieces were primarily to China (176,500 pieces), South Korea (106,100 pieces), Taiwan (34,500 pieces), Thailand (18,300 pieces) and Italy (18,000 pieces). 

Net sales of 110,700 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up 28 percent from the previous week, but down 39 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (33,400 unsplit), Mexico (16,300 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit) and Thailand (11,300 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits). Exports of 154,300 hides were primarily to Italy (46,200 unsplit and 5,300 grain splits), China (40,300 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (8,900 grain splits and 8,600 unsplit) and Vietnam (16,700 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of splits totalling 124,900 pounds were mainly for South Korea (115,600 pounds). Exports of 946,700 pounds were primarily for South Korea (781,000 pounds).
