Hides and Skins: Net sales of 381,500 pieces reported for delivery in 2010, down 28 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides sales of 378,800 pieces were mainly for China (158,400 pieces), South Korea (84,700 pieces), Taiwan (45,800 pieces), Thailand (21,200 pieces), Mexico (17,500 pieces) and Hong Kong (17,000 pieces). Exports of 472,200 pieces were up two percent from the previous week, but down two percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides exports of 465,300 pieces were primarily to China (192,400 pieces), South Korea (136,100 pieces), Italy (29,300 pieces), Taiwan (24,700 pieces) and Hong Kong (22,600 pieces). 

Net sales of 86,400 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 60 percent from the previous week and 55 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were Italy (40,500 unsplit), Thailand (12,600 unsplit and 1,700 grain splits) and Mexico (10,500 grain splits and 2,200 unsplit). Decreases were reported for South Korea (1,200 unsplit) and the Netherlands (900 unsplit). Exports of 142,800 hides were primarily to China (70,600 unsplit), Italy (25,500 unsplit), Thailand (17,000 unsplit and 1,700 grain splits) and Mexico (11,000 grain splits). Net sales of splits totalling 1,863,600 pounds were mainly for South Korea (1,082,300 pounds) and Italy (436,600 pounds). Exports of 656,500 pounds were for South Korea (343,700 pounds) and China (312,800 pounds).
