Hides and Skins: Net sales of 418,400 pieces, all whole cattle hides were down 24 percent from the previous week, but up four percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (163,700 pieces), South Korea (101,100 pieces), Thailand (41,200 pieces), Taiwan (38,900 pieces), Mexico (32,500 pieces) and Hong Kong (12,200 pieces). Exports of 480,100 pieces, all whole cattle hides were up three percent from the previous week and four percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were mainly to China (185,900 pieces), South Korea (135,700 pieces), Taiwan (41,200 pieces), Hong Kong (30,500 pieces) and Italy (26,400 pieces). 

Net sales of 88,200 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 39 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were Thailand (25,400 unsplit), China (22,500 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (10,800 unsplit and 5,000 grain splits), Mexico (8,700 grain splits and 1,800 unsplit) and Italy (7,000 grain splits and 900 unsplit). Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (1,600 unsplit). Exports of 162,200 hides were primarily to China (76,000 unsplit), Italy (21,100 unsplit), Thailand (17,900 unsplit and 1,700 grain splits), Mexico (15,200 grain splits and 1,800 unsplits) and the Dominican Republic (5,000 grain splits and 4,900 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 31,600 pounds reported for South Korea (34,600 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for China (3,000 pounds).  Exports of 211,000 pounds were mainly to South Korea (74,900 pounds), Hong Kong (50,000 pounds) and Italy (45,000 pounds).
