Hides and Skins: Net sales of 553,300 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, up one percent from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior four-week average.  Whole cattle hides sale of 553,400 pieces were mainly for China (306,700 pieces), South Korea (98,100 pieces), Taiwan (33,800 pieces), Vietnam (28,300 pieces), Italy (26,600 pieces) and Mexico (25,200 pieces). Exports of 464,800 pieces were down three percent from the previous week, but up one percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides exports of 457,800 pieces were primarily to China (171,600 pieces), South Korea (115,000 pieces), Taiwan (40,500 pieces), Hong Kong (38,500 pieces) and Vietnam (22,400 pieces).

Net sales of 144,400 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up eight percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (80,300 unsplit), Italy (30,400 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (20,800 grain splits), Vietnam (7,300 unsplit) and Mexico (6,700 unsplit). Decreases were reported for Mexico (3,100 grain splits). Exports of 140,300 hides were primarily for China (55,800 unsplit), Italy (27,000 unsplit), Vietnam (17,500 unsplit), Mexico (8,100 grain splits and 1,100 unsplit) and the Dominican Republic (5,000 grain splits and 4,000 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 115,400 pounds were reported for Hong Kong (99,400 pounds) and South Korea (16,000 pounds). Exports of 239,900 pounds were mainly for South Korea (150,600 pounds) and Italy (45,000 pounds).
