Hides and Skins: Net sales of 292,200 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, were down 58 percent from the previous week and 38 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 282,600 pieces were mainly for South Korea (101,300 pieces), China (54,600 pieces), Thailand (32,100 pieces), Vietnam (23,200 pieces, including 15,200 pieces switched from China and decreases of 4,200 pieces) and Taiwan (22,100 pieces). Exports of 422,500 pieces were down 20 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 419,700 pieces were primarily to China (150,300 pieces), South Korea (128,000 pieces), Taiwan (40,100 pieces), Hong Kong (37,800 pieces) and Mexico (23,500 pieces). 

Net sales of 159,100 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up noticeably from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (77,600 unsplit), Vietnam (39,600 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (19,200 unsplit and decreases of 200 grain splits). Exports of 141,800 hides were primarily for China (66,000 unsplit), Vietnam (16,000 unsplit), Hong Kong (9,000 unsplit and 6,300 grain splits) and the Dominican Republic (5,600 unsplit and 900 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totalling 243,400 pounds were for South Korea (193,800 pounds), Indonesia (25,800 pounds) and China (23,800 pounds). Exports of 129,500 pounds were mainly to South Korea.
