Hides and Skins: Net sales of 414,200 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, down 20 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 408,500 pieces were mainly for China (151,500 pieces, including 6,300 pieces switched from Hong Kong and decreases of 28,200 pieces), South Korea (62,300 pieces), Vietnam (55,400 pieces), Hong Kong (43,700 pieces, including 31,000 pieces switched from China and decreases of 11,100 pieces) and Taiwan (25,000 pieces). Exports of 513,300 pieces were up 25 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior fourweek average. Whole cattle hide exports of 500,000 pieces were primarily to China (245,900 pieces), South Korea (87,300 pieces), Taiwan (39,800 pieces), Mexico (27,500 pieces), Hong Kong (24,800 pieces),and Vietnam (19,500 pieces). 

Net sales of 182,200 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up 85 percent from the previous week and seven percent from the prior 4fourweek average. The primary buyers were China (67,900 unsplit), Mexico (37,200 grain splits and 15,100 unsplit), Taiwan (18,200 unsplit) and Hong Kong (17,600 grain splits). Decreases were reported for Italy (1,100 unsplit). Exports of 162,500 hides were primarily for China (48,300 unsplit and 1,600 grain splits), Mexico (27,200 grain splits and 4,100 unsplit), Italy (17,100 unsplit and 4,800 grain splits) and Thailand (20,200 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 264,400 pounds reported for China (306,300 pounds) and Hong Kong (52,400 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for South Korea (94,200 pounds). Exports of 453,100 pounds were for Hong Kong (258,200 pounds), South Korea (112,600 pounds) and China (82,300 pounds).
