Hides and Skins: Net sales of 519,200 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, down five percent from the previous week, but up 15 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 512,800 pieces were mainly for China (236,000 pieces), South Korea (99,500 pieces), Taiwan (44,700 pieces), Thailand (35,000 pieces, including 1,900 pieces switched from Taiwan and decreases of 200 pieces) and Hong Kong (23,900 pieces). Exports of 409,700 pieces were down 14 percent from the previous week and six percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 405,700 pieces were primarily to China (157,100 pieces), South Korea (107,300 pieces), Taiwan (47,700 pieces), Vietnam (24,400 pieces), Thailand (22,000 pieces) and Mexico (17,400 pieces). 

Net sales of 98,800 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 10 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (35,600 unsplit and 100 grain splits), Thailand (22,700 unsplit), Italy (21,000 unsplit) and Mexico (13,700 grain splits). Decreases were reported for Mexico (2,000 unsplit). Exports of 140,300 hides were primarily for China (68,000 unsplit), Mexico (20,400 grain splits), Italy (18,600 unsplit) and Hong Kong (7,800 unsplit). Net sales reductions of splits totalling 2,400 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (90,700 pounds) were more than offset by decreases for China (72,200 pounds), South Korea (18,500 pounds) and Italy (2,400 pounds).  Exports of 390,200 pounds were for Italy (172,200 pounds), China (123,900 pounds) and Hong Kong (94,100 pounds).
