Hides and Skins: Net sales of 366,300 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, down 15 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (197,800 pieces), South Korea (68,600 pieces), Taiwan (20,900 pieces), Vietnam (17,800 pieces) and Mexico (16,800 pieces). Exports of 366,000 pieces were down 16 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 362,700 pieces were primarily to China (175,400 pieces), South Korea (65,100 pieces), Taiwan (32,800 pieces), Mexico (24,700 pieces), Vietnam (17,000 pieces) and Hong Kong (15,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 212,800 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 19 percent from the previous week, but up 67 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were Italy (56,300 unsplit and 23,000 grain splits), China (40,100 unsplit), Japan (16,200 grain splits and 13,100 unsplit) and Thailand (28,600 unsplit). Exports of 165,400 hides were primarily for Italy (60,000 unsplit and 1,600 grain splits), China (31,900 unsplit), Mexico (20,300 grain splits and 9,200 unsplit) and Taiwan (11,600 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 153,300 pounds resulted as increases for Italy (135,400 pounds) and Hong Kong (39,900 pounds) were offset by decreases for China (13,400 pounds) and South Korea (8,700 pounds). Exports of 513,100 pounds were for South Korea (129,800 pounds), Hong Kong (128,800 pounds), Italy (128,500 pounds) and China (126,000 pounds).
