Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 471,600 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, down 19 percent from the previous week, but up 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary buyers were China (227,000 pieces), South Korea (103,300 pieces), Taiwan (47,800 pieces), Vietnam (36,100 pieces), and Mexico (21,300 pieces).  Exports of 464,700 pieces were down 9 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 460,600 pieces were primarily to China (237,400 pieces), South Korea (98,700 pieces), Taiwan (32,500 pieces), Mexico (24,100 pieces), Hong Kong (20,600 pieces), and Thailand (18,100 pieces). 

Net sales of 64,900 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 38 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary buyers were Italy (22,400 grain splits), Mexico (14,000 grain splits and 1,400 unsplit), South Korea (7,500 grain splits and 2,700 unsplit), and Thailand (10,200 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for China (9,000 grain splits).  Exports of 123,800 hides were primarily for China (46,000 unsplit and 6,400 grain splits), Italy (21,600 unsplit), Mexico (12,600 grain splits and 3,300 unsplit), and Japan (10,400 grain splits and 5,100 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 353,000 pounds were for Hong Kong (216,100 pounds) and China (142,400 pounds).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (5,400 pounds).  Exports of 41,500 pounds were for China.
