Hides and Skins: Net sales of 489,100 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, up 20 percent from the previous week and eight percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 487,200 pieces were primarily for China (239,200 pieces), South Korea (106,000 pieces), Vietnam (38,300 pieces), Italy (24,600 pieces) and Hong Kong (23,200 pieces). Exports of 539,800 pieces were up 45 percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 537,200 pieces were primarily to China (274,100 pieces), South Korea (110,600 pieces), Hong Kong (38,200 pieces), Vietnam (26,700 pieces), Taiwan (21,700 pieces) and Mexico (20,600 pieces). 

Net sales of 53,100 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were down 71 percent from the previous week and 65 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (26,400 unsplit), Japan (17,000 unsplit) and Mexico (14,800 unsplit and 1,500 grain splits). Exports of 132,700 hides were primarily for China (35,900 unsplit and 9,400 grain splits), Italy (28,700 unsplit and 1,600 grain splits), Mexico (13,300 grain splits and 7,000 unsplit), Vietnam (16,000 unsplit) and Taiwan (8,700 unsplit). Net sales reductions of splits totalling 474,100 pounds were for Italy (170,200 pounds), South Korea (149,400 pounds), Hong Kong (91,100 pounds) and China (63,300 pounds). Exports of 553,400 pounds were primarily for Italy (255,600 pounds) and China (174,500 pounds).
