Hides and Skins: Net sales of 552,200 pieces were reported for delivery in 2010, up 31 percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 545,800 pieces were primarily for China (302,900 pieces), South Korea (92,800 pieces), Taiwan (66,600 pieces), Thailand (24,200 pieces) and Mexico (13,400 pieces). Exports of 430,500 pieces were up seven percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide exports of 427,200 pieces were primarily to China (220,200 pieces), South Korea (116,700 pieces), Mexico (22,500 pieces), Taiwan (21,000 pieces), Italy (12,900 pieces) and Hong Kong (9,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 186,900 wet blues for delivery in 2010 were up 72 percent from the previous week. The primary buyers were China (64,000 unsplit and 21,600 grain splits), South Korea (41,600 grain splits), Mexico (15,500 grain splits) and Vietnam (14,800 unsplit). Exports of 145,200 hides were primarily for China (50,500 unsplit and 3,200 grain splits), Mexico (22,100 grain splits and 6,800 unsplit), Italy (21,300 unsplit and 1,700 grain splits), Vietnam (20,000 unsplit) and Taiwan (8,100 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 626,800 pounds were for China (658,500 pounds) and Hong Kong (80,200 pounds). Decreases were reported for South Korea (105,500 pounds) and Indonesia (6,500 pounds). Exports of 661,900 pounds were primarily for China (375,200 pounds) and South Korea (201,900 pounds).
