Hides and Skins: Net sales of 666,100 pieces were up 62 percent from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides sales of 666,400 pieces were primarily for China (333,000 pieces), South Korea (150,600 pieces), Taiwan (76,100 pieces), Mexico (36,400 pieces) and Thailand (30,000 pieces). Exports of 436,700 pieces were up six percent from the previous week and unchanged from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 432,800 pieces were primarily to China (218,300 pieces), South Korea (73,800 pieces), Vietnam (30,000 pieces), Taiwan (29,500 pieces), Mexico (22,900 pieces) and Thailand (19,900 pieces). 

Net sales of 137,000 wet blues were up 23 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were China (39,600 unsplit and 4,000 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (24,700 unsplit), Italy (23,300 unsplit) and Mexico (16,900 grain splits and 4,600 unsplit). Exports of 108,100 hides were down four percent from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (27,500 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), Mexico (21,900 grain splits and 2,200 unsplit), China (23,800 unsplit) and Taiwan (12,600 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 911,700 pounds resulted as increases for Italy (495,000 pounds) and Hong Kong (429,300 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for China (12,600 pounds). Exports of 431,400 pounds were down 41 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were China (251,400 pounds) and South Korea (180,000 pounds).
