Hides and Skins: Net sales of 382,600 pieces were down 28 percent from the previous week, but up 12 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hides sales of 377,900 pieces were primary for China (208,300 pieces), South Korea (92,300 pieces), Taiwan (27,900 pieces), Canada (16,600 pieces) and Vietnam (13,900 pieces). Exports of 520,300 pieces were up 23 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 513,500 pieces were primarily to China (279,500 pieces), South Korea (66,400 pieces), Taiwan (36,500 pieces), Hong Kong (30,900 pieces), Mexico (29,300 pieces) and Thailand (15,000 pieces). 

Net sales of 140,900 wet blues were up 17 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary buyers were Italy (36,000 grain splits and 29,700 unsplit), China (26,200 unsplit and 11,600 grain splits), Mexico (21,900 grain splits and 100 unsplit) and Vietnam (8,100 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits). Exports of 133,000 hides were up 39 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (37,900 unsplit and 7,900 grain splits), Italy (18,700 unsplit and 7,600 grain splits), Mexico (18,500 grain splits and 3,100 unsplit) and Taiwan (14,000 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 1,758,000 pounds were for China (1,129,700 pounds), South Korea (584,300 pounds) and Taiwan (44,000 pounds). Exports of 310,000 pounds were down 69 percent from the previous week and 54 percent from the prior four-week average. The destination was China.
