Hides and Skins: Net sales of 438,200 pieces, all whole cattle hides were up 64 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior four-week average The primary buyers were China (173,300 pieces), South Korea (134,600 pieces), Vietnam (41,600 pieces), Taiwan (27,700 pieces) and Mexico (16,000 pieces). Exports of 535,400 pieces were up 27 percent from the previous week, but down 11 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 528,600 pieces were primarily to China (302,300 pieces), South Korea (113,800 pieces), Mexico (24,100 pieces), Thailand (21,100 pieces), Hong Kong (16,700 pieces) and Vietnam (15,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 134,500 wet blues were down seven percent from the previous week, but up four percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (34,500 unsplit and 18,000 grain splits), Mexico (38,900 grain splits and 300 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (15,000 unsplit) and Japan (8,300 unsplit). Exports of 93,600 hides were down 36 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (33,200 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), Mexico (30,600 grain unsplits and 3,300 unsplit), Taiwan (11,000 unsplit), Italy (2,000 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit) and Vietnam (4,000 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 353,400 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (225,000 pounds) and South Korea (135,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for China (6,600 pounds). Exports of 589,400 pounds were up noticeably from the previous week and 77 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (370,000 pounds), China (169,400 pounds) and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).
