Hides and Skins: Net sales of 514,900 pieces were up 39 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 505,700 pieces were primarily for China (316,400 pieces), South Korea (74,300 pieces), Thailand (29,200 pieces), Taiwan (29,200 pieces) and Hong Kong (26,000 pieces). Exports of 743,900 pieces were up 10 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 738,200 pieces—a marketing-year high—were primarily to China (407,600 pieces), South Korea (174,800 pieces), Taiwan (60,300 pieces), Thailand (28,900 pieces), Mexico (22,200 pieces) and Hong Kong (18,100 pieces). 

Net sales of 120,500 wet blues were down 32 percent from the previous week and two percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (44,700 unsplit and 9,400 grain splits), Mexico (32,200 grain splits), Taiwan (14,400 unsplit) and Vietnam (8,800 unsplit). Exports of 115,900 hides were up five percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (44,100 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), Mexico (28,700 grain unsplits and 900 unsplit), Italy (14,600 unsplit and 6,000 grain splits) and Taiwan (8,200 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 685,500 pounds were for South Korea (540,000 pounds), Taiwan (143,900 pounds), Mexico (8,000 pounds) and Hong Kong (6,000 pounds). Decreases were reported for Vietnam (12,400 pounds). Exports of 431,500 pounds were up seven percent from the previous week and 54 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Taiwan (243,900 pounds), Vietnam (87,600 pounds), Hong Kong (50,000 pounds) and South Korea (50,000 pounds).
