Hides and Skins: Net sales of 841,300 pieces were up 83 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior four-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 835,100 pieces were primarily for China (423,400 pieces), South Korea (186,400 pieces), Hong Kong (98,300 pieces), Taiwan (54,200 pieces) and Mexico (41,400 pieces). Exports of 684,600 pieces were up 15 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 680,700 pieces—a marketing-year high—were primarily to China (343,200 pieces), South Korea (147,600 pieces), Taiwan (77,200 pieces), Mexico (30,700 pieces), Thailand (26,800 pieces) and Japan (22,200 pieces). 

Net sales of 72,500 wet blues were up 74 percent from the previous week, but down 26 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (30,600 grain splits), Italy (16,400 unsplit), China (9,700 unsplit and 4,300 grain splits) and Thailand (6,400 unsplit). Exports of 178,400 hides were up eight percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (53,900 unsplit and 10,000 grain splits), Italy (55,200 unsplit), Mexico (26,600 grain splits and 5,900 unsplit) and Vietnam (7,800 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 313,300 pounds resulted as increases for China (331,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (11,700 pounds) and Vietnam (6,000 pounds). Exports of 310,300 pounds were up 10 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were South Korea (135,000 pounds), Hong Kong (88,300 pounds), Vietnam (44,000 pounds) and China (43,000 pounds).
