Hides and Skins: Net sales of 458,700 pieces were down 28 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 442,800 pieces were primarily for China (240,400 pieces), South Korea (82,800 pieces), Mexico (26,400 pieces), Thailand (19,700 pieces) and Egypt (17,600 pieces). Exports of 597,400 pieces were down three percent from the previous week, but up two percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 588,400 pieces were primarily to China (315,900 pieces), South Korea (103,800 pieces), Taiwan (41,800 pieces), Thailand (35,300 pieces), Mexico (24,900 pieces) and Vietnam (22,200 pieces). 

Net sales of 41,700 wet blues were down 78 percent from the previous week and 62 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (17,900 grain splits and 3,300 unsplit), China (10,500 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), South Korea (9,400 unsplit and 3,300 grain splits) and Vietnam (3,200 unsplit). Decreases were reported for Indonesia (9,200 unsplit and 3,500 grain splits). Exports of 165,800 hides were up 13 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (58,300 unsplit), China (51,600 unsplit), Mexico (21,900 grain splits and 1,800 unsplit) and South Korea (9,400 unsplit and 3,100 grain splits). Net sales of splits totalling 99,900 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (101,100 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Mexico (1,200 pounds). Exports of 282,900 pounds were up seven percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (195,100 pounds), South Korea (45,000 pounds) and Mexico (42,800 pounds).
