Hides and Skins: Net sales of 770,500 pieces were down three percent from the previous week, but up one percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 765,100 pieces were primarily for China (448,800 pieces), South Korea (197,200 pieces), Hong Kong (44,500 pieces, including 3,500 pieces switched from China and decreases of 14,700 pieces), Vietnam (27,800 pieces) and Japan (14,600 pieces). Decreases were reported for Italy (1,100 pieces). Exports of 541,100 pieces were down ten percent from the previous week and nine percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 534,500 pieces were primarily to China (256,800 pieces), South Korea (121,800 pieces), Mexico (33,700 pieces), Taiwan (24,200 pieces), Hong Kong (24,000 pieces) and Thailand (22,500 pieces). 

Net sales of 107,700 wet blues were up 97 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior four-week average.  The primary destinations were China (38,500 unsplit), Taiwan (21,200 unsplit), Mexico (16,800 grain splits) and Italy (15,700 unsplit). Exports of 125,400 hides were down four percent from the previous week and two percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (44,700 unsplit and 10,600 grain splits), Italy (22,000 unsplit), Mexico (17,300 grain splits and 3,200 unsplit) and Vietnam (10,100 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 484,600 pounds were for Hong Kong (220,000 pounds), Mexico (176,000 pounds), China (88,000 pounds) and Taiwan (600 pounds). Exports of 44,800 pounds—a marketing-year low—were for Taiwan.
