Hides and Skins: Net sales of 507,300 pieces were down 23 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 507,300 pieces were primarily for China (204,700 pieces), South Korea (136,100 pieces), Taiwan (55,500 pieces), Mexico (35,900 pieces) and Thailand (30,000 pieces). Exports of 532,100 pieces were down five percent from the previous week and thtree percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 530,300 pieces were primarily to China (278,900 pieces), South Korea (127,400 pieces), Taiwan (50,400 pieces), Mexico (25,800 pieces), Thailand (22,000 pieces) and Japan (9,600 pieces). 

Net sales of 173,800 wet blues were down 47 percent from the previous week, but up 19 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (71,600 unsplit), China (27,700 unsplit and 13,900 grain splits), Vietnam (27,500 unsplit) and Mexico (18,400 grain splits and 4,100 unsplit). Exports of 147,900 hides—a marketing-year high—were up 22 percent from the previous week and 55 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (41,200 unsplit and 6,300 grain splits), Italy (43,100 unsplit), Mexico (24,400 grain splits and 5,100 unsplit) and Taiwan (11,000 unsplit). 

Net sales of splits totalling 283,300 pounds resulted as increases for South Korea (270,000 pounds) and Taiwan (50,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Vietnam (30,900 pounds), China (3,800 pounds) and Hong Kong (2,000 pounds). Exports of 627,300 pounds were up 75 percent from the previous week and 89 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (230,000 pounds), Vietnam (219,100 pounds), China (128,200 pounds) and Taiwan (50,000 pounds).
