Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 191,500 pieces were down 67 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 183,800 pieces--a marketing-year low--resulted as increases for South Korea (146,000 pieces), Taiwan (100,800 pieces), Hong Kong (35,900 pieces), Mexico (32,900 pieces), and Vietnam (9,200 pieces), were partially offset by decreases for China (161,300 pieces).  Exports of 423,600 pieces were up 3 percent from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 416,300 pieces were primarily to China (193,800 pieces), South Korea (112,300 pieces), Hong Kong (30,800 pieces), Taiwan (24,100 pieces), Mexico (14,300 pieces), and Thailand (14,100 pieces). 

Net sales of 116,200 wet blues were up 43 percent from the previous week and 77 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (71,900 unsplit and 5,600 grain splits), Taiwan (18,400 unsplit), Mexico (12,200 grain splits), and Vietnam (4,000 unsplit).  Exports of 56,400 hides were down 29 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (19,000 unsplit and 8,200 grain splits), Mexico (9,600 grain splits), Taiwan (6,800 unsplit), and Hong Kong (6,000 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totalling 720,700 pounds resulted as increases for Vietnam (750,000 pounds) and Taiwan (400,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (400,000 pounds) and China (29,300 pounds).  Exports of 370,700 pounds were down 44 percent from the previous week, but up 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were China (220,700 pounds), Hong Kong (100,000 pounds), and Taiwan (50,000 pounds).
