US export sales for week ending 11/07/2002
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 549,300 pieces were 17% above the prior week and 7% over the 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 547,400 pieces were primarily for South Korea (126,400 pieces), Taiwan (111,100 pieces), China (96,800 pieces), and Mexico (54,100 pieces, including unreported sales of 16,200 pieces made during the marketing year). Exports of 525,500 pieces were up 3% from the previous week and 10% from the 4-week average. Whole cattle hide shipments of 521,900 pieces were destined mainly for South Korea (161,300 pieces), China (104,400 pieces), Taiwan (76,500 pieces), and Mexico (55,700 pieces, including unreported activity of 16,200 pieces). In addition, whole cattle hide sales and exports for Canada of 24,900 pieces were unreported activity made during the marketing year.
