New issue of World Leather available now

The October-November issue of World Leather is here, offering thought-provoking articles on what is happening in the global leather sector now and what may happen in future.

We have a full round-up of highlights at Simac-Tanning Tech in Milan in September, plus a series of articles that reflect some of the many intereting discussions that took place at the Sustainable Leather Forum in Paris.

In one of these, four prominent leather-industry figures (Burak Uyguner, Jean-Christophe Muller, Kim Sena and Luca Boltri) engage in an exchange that reveals their visions for the future.

In another, you can read about Yasu Michino, the designer who can talk to leather and hear what leather says to him in return.

We also bring details of the new Global Leather Alliance, which has launched to promote the industry and protect it from unfair criticism. We hear from British Pasture Leather’s Alice Robinson about her involvement in a scholarship programme for people connected, in varying ways, to agriculture.

And please don’t miss our Leather Leaders interview, in which COTANCE secretary general, Edoardo De Paola, gives an insider’s view of how leather can win the support of regulators in Brussels.
