The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) has published the first issue of a new series examining environmental impacts across the leather value chain.

Titled Mapping Leather’s Environmental Externalities: A pre-competitive foundation for joint action, the publication was prepared by the IULTCS Sustainability Commission Team (IUS). It aims to provide a shared, science-based reference to help the leather industry assess its environmental impacts and identify areas where collective action could bring improvements.
