CEC raises concerns over fast-fashion shoes
Shoe industry body the European Footwear Confederation (CEC) has said more than 35% of products in a recent study failed to comply with REACH requirements.
It carried out the study in a ‘mystery shopper’ exercise on footwear from three major fast fashion e-commerce platforms: Temu, Shein and Ali Express. The shoes were purchased in seven different European countries and sent for testing at independent laboratories, including PFI Germany, CTC in France and SATRA in the UK.
