Leathergoods brand Hermès has added to its presence in New York City with a new store opening in Williamsburg in Brooklyn. 

This is the brand’s first store in Brooklyn. Its other New York stores are in Manhattan. 

It chose a building in Williamsburg’s meat-packing district for the store. The building itself is relatively new, but is designed to look like a traditional Brooklyn industrial site with materials including “textured brickwork”. 

Its 16 product categories are on offer on two floors in a space that Hermès says is “shaped by industrial aesthetics and refined craftsmanship that pay homage to the neighbourhood’s culture”.
