New AI and data systems presented by Gemata
At the Simac Tanning Tech exhibition in Milan, Italian tanning machine manufacturer Gemata presented Maestro and Regia, two new digital service tools designed to support technical assistance, machine monitoring and process analysis.
Maestro is an artificial intelligence-based assistant that provides access to technical knowledge and documentation. The GEM-AI system can search information from machine manuals, technical documents, drawings, spare parts data, maintenance guidelines and troubleshooting procedures. Users can search for information using text queries, machine codes, component references or images.
Alongside Maestro, the company introduced Regia, a platform that collects and analyses machine and process data, providing users with performance indicators, customised reports and production information through a dedicated dashboard. The system can monitor parameters including operating speeds, temperatures, coating thicknesses, tensions, chemical consumption and machine downtime, while also supporting maintenance planning through continuous analysis of operating data.
Gemata said the two systems can work together, with Regia monitoring machine performance and Maestro providing technical guidance, helping users move from reactive problem-solving towards preventative maintenance and process optimisation.
