RLSD Vietnam finalists visit Prime Asia
Finalists in the 2026 Real Leather. Stay Different. (RLSD) Vietnam competition have visited Prime Asia Tannery as part of an industry tour designed to provide a closer look at leather manufacturing and material innovation.
The visit brought together the competition's Top 10 finalists, mentors, judges and industry partners, offering participants the opportunity to follow the leather production process from raw hides through to finished leather.
During the tour, finalists heard from industry professionals about leather's characteristics, performance properties and applications, while gaining a better understanding of the craftsmanship and technical expertise involved in leather production.
RLSD organisers said the visit was intended to support the next generation of designers by providing practical industry knowledge and insight into leather manufacturing. The experience also offered inspiration for finalists as they continue to develop their competition entries.
