A new market opens up in Africa for US beef

Nigeria is open to US beef exports, the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) has reported.

Its representative in Africa, Matt Copeland, has paid tribute to colleagues in the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) that the US Department of Agriculture runs. In 2025, FAS colleagues facilitated meetings between USMEF and several key ministers in the Nigerian government.
