Radley to close remaining UK stores

London based leathergodds brand Radley is closing its remaining directly operated UK stores following its administration earlier this year.

The brand’s website is now closed to online orders, while a closing-down sale is selling off remaining stock. Its stores in Covent Garden and Glasgow are expected to close by the end of August, with 19 concessions understood to be trading into September.

The closures follow Gordon Brothers’ acquisition of Radley’s brand and intellectual property in a pre-pack administration deal in May. The transaction did not include the UK retail operations and resulted in 42 immediate redundancies.

Radley reported a pre-tax loss of £5.5 million for the year to April 2025, compared with £1.7 million a year earlier, while turnover fell from £72 million to £65.8 million.

Gordon Brothers plans to operate Radley under an asset-light model focused on wholesale, licensing and international expansion.
