Marfrig wants to keep the world fed
Packer and hide processing group Marfrig has said its production units in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and the US are operating as normal.
It said it would continue to work “at full speed”, conscious of the importance of its role as one of the biggest beef producers in the world.
“Our task is to guarantee supply of and access to quality products to keep people fed, even as we take steps to safeguard the wellbeing of our teams, our partners and our suppliers.”
It said all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, as recommended by the World Health Organisation, were in place at its sites.
