Travel initiative offers behind-the-scenes access to Italian brands

A Sydney-based luxury travel company, IC Bellagio, has established a partnership with Italian luxury brands in an effort to give “discerning visitors to Italy” a behind-the-scenes experience of the luxury brands they love.

The new initiative, which IC Bellagio has set up with the Altagamma Foundation, the body that seeks to promote high-end Italian brands worldwide, will allow travellers to visit not just famous shopping streets and boutiques in different parts of Italy, but visit ateliers, design houses, workshops, company headquarters, and meet entrepreneurs and brand owners to gain a greater understanding of how their products come together.

Altagamma Foundation president, Paolo Zegna, said at the time of the announcement that this initiative will offer visitors the opportunity “to go beyond what is normally visible of Italian products”, and to see how products are made and by whom.

Leather-using brands that are members of the Altagamma Foundation include accessories, footwear, furniture and automotive companies. Versace, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sergio Rossi, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Poltrona Frau, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati are all on the list.
