Yacht group to expand, in more ways than one

Yacht manufacturer Ferretti Group has secured a bid to start making bigger yachts at its base in the post of Ancona.

It will now be able to build yachts of up to 100 metres in length. The previous limit was 90 metres.

Ferretti said winning permission to increase the length of the crafts it is able to construct will “pave the way for strategic expansion”.

On making the announcement, the group said: “The importance of this expansion goes far beyond an additional ten metres. The ability to build yachts of up to 100 metres will strengthen Ferretti Group’s position at the upper end of the international superyacht market, broaden its future product development opportunities and enhance its capacity to compete for increasingly ambitious projects.”
