Up to €500 million in new funding for small and medium businesses could become available following an agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Italy’s Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). 

EIB is the financing arm of the European Union. It has already agreed to provide an initial tranche of €150 million for the programme, with further tranches to follow.
