US beef exports for the first eight months of 2026 reached 721,150 tonnes, with a value of $6.3 billion. The figures mean a fall of 7% in volume and of 1% in value year on year. 

The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) said the figures for August on its own showed an increase of 4% in volume, to reach 86,362 tonnes, and a rise in value of 13% to reach $785.9 million.
