Craftsmanship counts at Bentley

Automotive group Bentley Motors has emphasised the craftsmanship that has gone into the making of its new model, the Torcal.

Launched at the end of September, the Torcal is the company’s fourth model line, adding to the Continental, the Flying Spur and the Bentayga.

The Torcal is the company’s first fully electric car to go into serial production. It has made electric concept vehicles in the past and also produces hybrid versions of its other models, but the Torcal breaks new ground.

At the same time, Bentley has celebrated the new model’s many connections to generations of skilled workers and its use of “exquisite British handcraftsmanship using the best natural materials”.

These include hand-stitched leather in the interior and colour palette that offers 15 different shades of leather tanned with an organic by-product of the olive oil industry. For the Torcal, these include three new colours: teal, terra and glaze.
