The leather garments sector in China is continuing to experience strong growth in 2026.

Figures for the first five months of the year show that Chinese manufacturers exported leather garments with a total value of $49.4 million, an increase of 45.6% year on year.

China’s imports of leather garments over the five-month period were worth even more, reaching a value $51.6 million, up by 28.5.% compared to the same period in 2025.
