Aspinal revenue rises, profits decline

Luxury leathergoods brand Aspinal of London saw a 9% revenue increase to £38.6 million ($48 million) for the year ending March 2024. However, profits fell as the company invested heavily in international growth, with adjusted EBITDA dropping 27.4% to £5.3 million ($6.5 million) due to increased marketing expenditure.

Operating profit before exceptional items declined to £4.6 million ($5.7 million) from £5.6  million ($6.9 million), while profit before tax fell from £5.54 million ($6.86 million) to £3.3 million ($4.1 million), and net profit dropped to £2.88 million ($3.5 million) from £4.23 million ($5.25 million)

Most sales were online, though the brand maintains stores in London, including Covent Garden, and Shanghai, alongside partnerships with Harrods, Selfridges, and Heathrow Airport.
