New Zealand landscape provides more than 80% of tannery’s energy
New Zealand-based leather manufacturer Tasman Tanning Company has said its ability to harness the raw elements of the country’s landscape is helping it reduce its carbon footprint and enhance its sustainable practices in terms of energy provision.
The company, based in Whanganui on the North Island of New Zealand, has calculated that 83% of the energy it uses to manufacture leather comes from renewable energy supply, including hydro and wind energy projects.
