Schools competition returns to Lineapelle
A competition aimed at schools in Italy, Amici per la Pelle (Friends of Leather), will be a component of the Lineapelle exhibition once again when it next takes place in Milan in February.
National tanning industry body UNIC, in collaboration with Lineapelle , is organising the competition for the twelfth time. It is open to students in the last two years of their lower secondary school education.
The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Leather in Our Life – New uses of leather in everyday life’. The theme was selected so as to encourage young people to think creatively about leather in daily life and thus generate new ideas for its uses and applications.
As well as creating a work related to the selected theme, each project should be accompanied by a short video illustrating the inspiration and development of the idea of concept chosen.
The winners will be decided by the votes of a special jury, combined with votes at the fair in Milan and votes cast on the UNIC web portal.
