A leather technician, now retired after a long career at Arzignano-based leather manufacturer Gruppo Dani, Lorenzo Manfrin, received a national honour at the end of April.

Italy’s president, Sergio Mattarella, included Mr Manfrin among the 2022 recipients of its Stella al Merito del Lavoro (Star of Merit at Work) medal.

The president confers the medal each year to people nominated by the labour ministry to people from the world of work who have shown distinguished service in terms of expertise and hard work.

“We’re proud of this award of excellence that recognises Lorenzo’s long career,” Gruppo Dani said, adding that Mr Manfrin had contributed greatly to the success of the group and to its future.
