ACLE postponed again
An edition of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), which was due to take place in Shanghai from November 23-25, will not now go ahead.
Joint organisers, the China Leather Industry Association and APLF Limited, have now said ACLE will next go ahead from August 31 to September 2, 2022.
They explained that new covid-19 outbreaks have prompted the authorities in many parts of China to impose lockdowns and travel restrictions. Major leather, footwear and leathergoods manufacturing areas, including Sichuan, Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hubei, have been affected by this, as has Beijing.
ACLE last took place in September 2019. Covid-19 meant it did not take place in 2020. This year, its original dates were August 31 to September 2 but, with three weeks to go, the organisers announced the change to the November dates.
In 2019, ACLE attracted 1,056 exhibitors from 34 countries.
