Hermès builds pop-up gym in Chengdu
Parisian luxury goods house Hermès recently expanded upon its relatively new HermèsFit movement through the construction of a pop-up gym concept in the Chinese city of Chengdu.
On display within a branded space in the Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li development from May 20-23, the exhibition-like setting featured a yoga room, boxing ring and punch bags (pictured), gymnastic rings and gym lockers.
Brand touches were everywhere, all harmoniously in-keeping with Hermès’ signature orange decoration theme, including leather and silk elements. Some orange locker doors even opened to reveal artfully displayed textiles and jewellery.
Visitors reportedly made their reservations via a Mini Program within the main WeChat messaging application, specially dedicated to HermèsFit. Campaign hashtags #HermèsFit and #ExerciseWithHermès topped 3.5 million combined views on Weibo (most similar to Twitter), alone.
