European tannery safety survey: deadline extension

The health and safety of tannery workers in Europe is under the spotlight as part of a project initiated by European Union leather industry body COTANCE, IndustriAll-European Trade Union and the University of Northampton.

The survey, which had previously been due to close in December, can now be accessed on Northampton University's website until midnight on February 2.

The partners are requesting that employees of the sector - including tannery workers, chemicals and machinery suppliers and associations - fill out the survey, in confidence, to help them "further the health and safety of the sector".
